More than a game

What does it mean to “L3V3L” ?

Power to the players

Players actually own their items (NFT) thanks to blockchain technology. Their playing skills and diligence are rewarded with Sorgho or Chronolyx. They can exchange their Sorgho for USDC on the player portal.
When trading Sorgho, in addition to receiving USDC, players receive Thino, our governance token. Players voting rights for future decisions in Harmonia. Contribute to the development of the Goyaverse!
"Which animals should be the next? Will we organise a special event? Which decorative item will be added?"
The players are full members of the team.

Targeting a wider audience

We want to make Harmonia: Goya's Land a perfect place to start playing NFT games and to get familiar with the blockchain. As such, Harmonia: Goya's Land can be seen as a free-to-play-and-earn. We want to make the game as inclusive as possible. Of course, with NFTs, it's more fun! Without NFTs and game tokens, you won't access certain spots on the map, you won't be able to unlock the full economical potential of some NFTs, you won't be able to participate in the governance system and your progression will be slower. Some NFTs will be more affordable than others to spur a strong dynamic and ecosystem. Rest assured that, on the other hand, very rare NFTs are on the table and players will battle in trading to obtain them. Everyone can enjoy the game, from beginners to the most experienced blockchain players.

Green commitments

We want to be respectful of the players, but also of the environment. We know that for the general public, blockchain and NFT do not get along well with ecology. However, great progresses have been made in reducing the energy impact of some blockchains. In this case, the switch from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake has been a revolution. Proof-of-work blockchains used to consume the equivalent of what a country like Argentina consumes per year. At L3V3L, we only work with proof-of-stake or proof-of-history blockchains, and we partner with environmental companies to combine play and ethics

Eden Reforestation

Eden Reforestation Projects (Eden) is a non-profit organisation that works in developing countries to rebuild natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation. This helps to combat deforestation and poverty at the same time. Eden plants more than 3,000,000 additional trees per month and in 2018, more than 200,000,000 trees were planted.
An NFT tree planted in Harmonia means a tree planted in real life. A dashboard will help you visualize and concretely know what's happening from the game.

ZeLoop

In partnership with ZeLoop we are working at linking Harmonia world with impact actions in the physical world. For instance Gretto's quest will be linked with the performance of players in ZeLoop’s recycling awareness application.
ZeLoop App is supported on an innovative in-house developed reward engine that allows to dispatch Eco Reward tokens (a utility token available on selected exchanges) which can be used to reward upon a number of applications. The first one is a mobile application combining geolocalization with machine learning so that anytime you're located near a recycling bin, you can take a picture of the plastic bottles and they can count the number of them you are depositing.
According to that, you get an adequate number of Eco Rewards, which can amount up to $50cts purchasing power per plastic bottle (worldwide record).
In the Goyaverse, Gretto allows you to take part of a quest once per day to find plastic waste on the map, collect them and exchange them for a special resource, which will speed up the development of your NFTs and your economical rewards. If you are staking Eco Rewards tokens for Harmonia as a consequence of some great real-life action you made, we will reward you by increasing the number of times you can perform Gretto's quest. In summary:
Recycle a number of plastic bottles and: 1.Earn a direct financial reward in the form of Eco Rewards tokens 2.Earn an in-game resource by performing the quest 3.Convert your special resource to get a competitive edge over other players financially speaking.
Example of additional thresholds for staking Eco Rewards tokens:

What messages does Harmonia convey?

The key values conveyed by the game as a whole and taken into account during its design are environmental issues.
Indeed, the scenario is that current behaviours have led to the destruction of the world as we know it. Thus, despite its benevolent atmosphere, the game takes place in a distant post-apocalyptic future. This choice is not insignificant: it does not present the fall of mankind as a possibility, a risk, but as something that has already happened. This reading could appear defeatist, but it is quite the opposite. The player is asked, through Goya, to roll up his sleeves to rebuild beauty and balance. Make it your Goyaverse!
Harmonia Goya's Land emphasizes the importance of collecting waste, recycling it, not overfishing, considering animal welfare (not encouraging intensive farming) and saving our forests.

Collect and recycle waste

The marsh is the last remaining polluted area of Harmonia. Gretto, our friendly cleaner, has already cleaned up the rest of Harmonia. The player has to help Gretto by bringing back persistent waste from the Sapiens era located in the swamp. Gretto rewards you with resources. It is also possible to collect leaves. These leaves have no exchange value with the other characters, but can be fed to the animals or brought back to Gretto who is the only one to exchange them for other resources. He knows that they are worthless, he just wants to avoid them lying around and rot.

No overfishing

As soon as Goya gets a fishing rod from Abry, he can start fishing from the pontoon. Goya fishes for seaweed and not for fish (in the Goyaverse, there is no violence!). Goya can catch a maximum number of items daily. Once this limit is reached, nothing will be hooked anymore, and Chloro is giving you a warning: "You have fished well today Goya! You have to give nature time to rest, we'll come back tomorrow". The intention is to raise awareness about overfishing.

Considering animal welfare

An animal that is not cared for does not evolve, and produces nothing. The basic needs include affection, which defines animals in Harmonia as sentient beings. An animal does not produce infinitely, there is a daily limit, no matter how well the user controls the system. When an animal triggers a quest, it is a feeding frenzy, it's not for basic hunger, and Goya runs to fulfil this whim. One can therefore legitimately ask "Who is serving whom?

Saving our forests

Trees have a huge impact on gameplay. Fruit is so valuable that owning trees makes you advance faster than other players. Trees are all NFTs unlike animals, and every tree planted in Harmonia has a real-life counterpart planted by our partner Eden Reforestation Projects. So, it is in the players' interest to support this cause.

Why barter in Harmonia?

We chose bartering in Harmonia to remind us of the true value of things. Moreover, this choice is coherent from a scenic point of view: humans have disappeared to leave behind a world in harmony with nature.
